about StackJack.

[ 01 ]

StackJack is a remote MCP gateway and AI automation platform that connects any AI client (Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor) to the PSA, RMM, security, Microsoft 365, and network platforms they already run, through one endpoint. It is built for managed service providers and internal IT teams.

[ 02 // what we do ]

What StackJack does.

A typical MSP or IT team runs 8 to 15 platforms with no shared identity between them, and the AI tools the team already pays for can’t see any of them. StackJack is the layer in between.

[ 02 ]
01

One MCP endpoint for the whole stack

Point any remote-MCP client at mcp.stackjack.io and it can reach every connected platform. StackJack brokers each request with your organization’s credentials and each user’s own policy. There is no SDK, no agent to install, and no firewall rule to open.

02

Connectors for the whole IT stack

Ticketing, RMM and endpoint management, Microsoft 365 and identity, cloud, documentation, networking, security, backup, finance, and distribution, from HaloPSA, ConnectWise, and NinjaOne to Intune, CrowdStrike, Meraki, and Jamf. Each connector handles its vendor’s pagination, rate limits, auth quirks, and destructive-operation guards, so the AI gets clean, typed results.

03

Automations

Saved AI agents that plan and carry out multi-step work across the stack from a plain-English goal. They run on demand, on a schedule, or from a webhook, with dry runs, tool allow-lists, and a full transcript of every run. Pay with credit packs or bring your own Anthropic key.

04

Per-user auth, policy, and audit

Every teammate signs in as themselves with OAuth PKCE, on every plan including Free. Admins set tool allow-lists per person and per agent, and access ends when team membership does. Every call is logged with who, what, when, and the result.

05

Catalog modes that beat the tool cap

Claude Desktop stops at 256 tools, and a single Cisco Meraki connector has several times that. Compact and minimal catalog modes let the AI search thousands of tools on demand instead of loading them all. This is what makes ChatGPT and Copilot Studio usable against a real production stack.

06

Enterprise and vendor embedding

Enterprise plans are scoped per customer and include custom tool development. Software vendors can embed StackJack to give their product every other platform in the stack without building and maintaining those integrations themselves.

[ 03 // the difference ]

What makes StackJack different.

There are other ways to put an AI client in front of these tools. This is where StackJack sits relative to each of them.

[ 03 ]
01 // breadth

Every platform behind one hosted endpoint

Vendor-native servers such as HaloPSA’s own MCP cover one product, and most vendors ship no MCP server at all. Open-source MCP servers, including WYRE’s MSP plugin collection, are typically installed and credentialed one vendor at a time. StackJack serves every connector from one hosted endpoint with one sign-in, and the HaloPSA connector alone has more than a thousand tools.

02 // depth

The connectors are the product

General-purpose gateways like Bifrost route traffic to MCP servers you bring yourself, and integration platforms like StackOne and Composio focus on business SaaS such as CRM and HR. StackJack builds and maintains the connectors for IT operations platforms itself, with each vendor’s pagination, rate limits, and dangerous operations handled. Every quirk fixed for one customer is fixed for all of them.

03 // no workflow to draw

Agents that read a goal

With workflow platforms like Rewst and n8n, a technician still draws the flow, maps every field, and rebuilds it when an API changes. A StackJack Automation takes a plain-English instruction, picks from the full tool catalog, and runs within guardrails the server enforces in code. The same agent can be run on demand, on a schedule, or from a PSA or RMM webhook.

04 // pricing

Per connector, never per seat

Pro runs $19 to $99 per connector per month and covers your whole team; there is no per-technician fee. Every connector has a free tier that never expires and needs no credit card. Build Your Own Bundle takes up to 40% off as you add connectors.

05 // terms

Month-to-month, in plain English

IT software is often sold on multi-year agreements, with Kaseya as the best-known example in the MSP channel. StackJack plans are monthly and can be cancelled at any time, with no hidden fees and contracts written in plain English. Enterprise customers can opt into contract terms if they want them.

06 // trust

Zero retention and a real security posture

Business data passes through StackJack and is never stored; only call metadata is kept, for your audit trail. Credentials live in a dedicated secrets vault, the US and EU regions each have their own database and identity, and a SOC 2 Type II audit is underway. None of that exists when the MCP server is running on a technician’s laptop.

[ 04 // customers ]

Who uses StackJack.

More than 600 MSPs use the platform today, across the US, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, and Norway, alongside internal IT teams running the same tools.

[ 04 ]
  • Managed service providers with 5 to 50 staff running a PSA, an RMM, Microsoft 365 tooling, and 8 to 15 vendor platforms in total.
  • HaloPSA, ConnectWise PSA, and Autotask shops that want their technicians’ AI client to work tickets, clients, and contracts directly.
  • MSP technicians and service desk leads already using Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Cursor who need that AI to see the stack.
  • MSP operations and automation engineers replacing hand-built scripts and workflow-builder flows with AI agents.
  • European MSPs that need EU data residency, served from the Azure Sweden Central instance.
  • Internal IT teams running the same platforms, such as Intune, CrowdStrike, Meraki, Jamf, and Azure. StackJack for IT teams →
  • MSP software vendors that need their product to work inside customers’ AI clients and agents, on the Enterprise tier.

Christopher “Ceej” Scaminaci, founder

Christopher Scaminaci — Ceej, to most of the channel — has spent sixteen years in managed services, most of them wiring together the PSA, RMM, Microsoft 365, documentation, and billing tools that IT teams live in. He grew up in Chicago, is a US citizen, and has lived in Medellín, Colombia as an expat since 2023. He is a Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect who works in PowerShell, .NET, and vendor APIs, in English and Spanish.

Most people know him from HaloPSA. He was one of the original three third-party HaloPSA implementation experts in the world, and the practice he leads has completed more than 450 implementations with a 100% success rate. He has joined HaloPSA’s product team on its webinars. His GitHub holds a PowerShell wrapper for the Halo REST API, an SMS identity-verification runbook for help desks (Twilio, Microsoft Graph, Azure Automation), and a NinjaOne-to-HaloPSA user matching tool, and he has contributed to the HaloAPI PowerShell module and to CIPP.

MSP Automator and the Trunk Slammer

Since 2021 he has written MSP Automator, a blog of scripts, tutorials, and vendor reviews for the MSP channel that runs no ads and takes no sponsors. It has its own Discord community, and he posts on Reddit as u/brokerceej.

The blog is also home to The Trunk Slammer From Hell, a serialized satire narrated by the worst MSP in the channel: he runs his business out of a Crown Victoria, pays his apprentice in gas money and Monster, and gets a new Kaseya rep every two weeks. Ceej has described the character as everything he refuses to be.

Why StackJack exists

Anthropic published the Model Context Protocol in November 2024. Within a year, Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, and VS Code could all connect to a remote MCP server, and almost none of the platforms IT teams run could be reached through one. HaloPSA’s native MCP server was missing major parts of the product, used non-standard auth, and did not work from web clients. Most vendors shipped nothing. The open-source servers covered one vendor each and ran on a technician’s laptop, with no team auth and no audit trail. And no PSA vendor was going to build a connector to a rival PSA, or to an RMM it does not own.

Ceej had spent sixteen years inside those APIs. He knew which operations matter, which ones are dangerous, and which ones quietly return wrong data, so he built the cross-vendor layer himself. StackJack launched in March 2026 and has grown through the MSP Automator community, word of mouth, and a free tier that never expires. Its terms are the ones he has argued for on the blog for years: plain-English contracts, per-connector pricing with no seat fee, cancel any time, zero retention of customer data, public documentation, and an audit trail the customer owns.

A US company

StackJack is a small, founder-led US company. It is operated by MSP Automator Labs, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company headquartered in Newark, doing business as StackJack.io. Frequently asked questions.

[ 08 ]

Who owns StackJack?

StackJack is operated by MSP Automator Labs, LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company doing business as StackJack.io — a US company. It was founded by Christopher “Ceej” Scaminaci, a US citizen, who still builds and runs it.

Is StackJack an MSP?

No. StackJack is software for MSPs and internal IT teams. It was built by someone with sixteen years in managed services, so it is designed around how IT operations teams actually work.

Does StackJack store my data?

No. Business data passes through the gateway and is never stored, cached, or used for training. StackJack keeps call metadata only, for your audit trail, and keeps credentials in a dedicated secrets vault.

Which AI clients work with StackJack?

Any client that speaks remote MCP over HTTP, including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio, Cursor, and VS Code. StackJack’s own Automations run through the same endpoint. See supported clients →

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Every connector has a free tier that never expires and needs no credit card. It includes read and basic write tools and 100 calls a month.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. Plans are monthly subscriptions you can cancel at any time. Enterprise customers can choose contract terms if they want them.

How is StackJack different from Rewst or n8n?

Rewst and n8n are workflow builders: you draw the flow and map the fields. A StackJack Automation takes a plain-English goal, chooses from the full tool catalog, and runs inside server-enforced guardrails, with no workflow to draw.

Is StackJack SOC 2 compliant?

A SOC 2 Type II audit is underway. Progress, policies, and security documentation are published in the Trust Center.

What is MSP Automator?

MSP Automator is Ceej’s blog and community for the MSP channel, with no ads and no sponsors. It is also home to The Trunk Slammer From Hell, a serialized satire about the worst MSP in the channel.
